The idea that gave birth to our company, in the early 1970s, was intuited by the two great globe-trotting entrepreneurs, Livio Tamagno and Laura Camis De Fonseca.
Inspired by their experiences in the world of work and travel, the husband and wife came up with the idea of attempting to combine the Italian shoe-making tradition with a search for new high-quality materials at competitive prices.
After forty years, this idea still guides our every move.
Indeed, if we are now a leading Italian company in the slipper and beach sandal market, this is thanks precisely to the fact that we have continued to believe in that original intuition, and to seek new ways of bringing it to fruition.
The company has grown constantly, transforming from a family company to a major commercial entity managed by an investment fund, through a journey characterised by commercial successes and dialogue with consumers.
Our staff members remain as committed as ever: we now employ over 90 people in Italy, as well the staff of De Fonseca Shanghai, our Far East branch.
Every year we produce and sell over 14 million shoes worldwide. Our range is unrivalled: it comprises over 500 new models for each collection, designed to offer comfort and practicality for all occasions, at home and outdoors.
